Information For GPs & Referrers

The patient referral process to Harrow Health Right to Choose.

GPs can refer patients for treatment through the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) and EMIS. When making a referral, GPs should remember to include the patient’s Integrated Care Board (ICB) information for smooth processing.

Key Elements

  • You can find us on e-RS (electronic referral system) which is the preferred option.
  • Please do not send patient referrals via email. This should be done through e-RS (Electronic Referral System)
  • Patients from anywhere in England can be referred to us as long as they are registered with a GP.
  • We offer both face to face and virtual appointments.
  • If diagnosed, patients are initiated treatment.
  • Please include your ICB details when referring.

Waiting times vary depending on clinical urgency and demand. Current average wait times are:

We will acknowledge all referrals and notify you if a referral is declined or redirected.

Yes. Referrers will receive a clinical summary or discharge letter following the patient’s care episode.
