GPs can refer patients for treatment through the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) and EMIS. When making a referral, GPs should remember to include the patient’s Integrated Care Board (ICB) information for smooth processing.

Yes. Referrers will receive a clinical summary or discharge letter following the patient’s care episode.
